Rights and Responsibilities

Rights and Responsibilities

Participants and providers in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) are bound by specific rights and obligations that are designed to guarantee that support is efficient, safe, and courteous.

Participants have the right to ensure that they are provided with high-quality services and that they are treated with respect and dignity.

In addition to this, it is their responsibility to communicate their requirements in a clear manner and to take an active part in the process of establishing and reviewing their assistance plans.

Providers, on the other hand, must uphold the principles of the NDIS by delivering services that meet the needs of participants while adhering to all legal and ethical guidelines. They are responsible for maintaining transparency in their operations and for respecting the rights of participants, including their privacy and decision-making autonomy.
